2013 Champions

Left - Maegan Sweeney
Middle - Morgan Bramford
Right - Kaylee Finnegan
I just thought I would write a post about Cowal this year and who won...
Maegan Sweeney from Canada won the Junior category, Morgan Bramford from New Zealand won the adult category and finally Kaylee Finnegan from the USA won the juvenile category.
This is from 2013 and I wasn't able to go this year but I am hoping to go in 2014...

Splits...

The splits are great to improve your extended high cuts and leaps...
I love this quote because it is so true and I am working towards doing this.
'There's always someone better than me but that doesn't mean I'll give up.'

Xmas...

I very much dislike the Christmas holiday's because it's boring and there is no dancing. Also, what teacher gives homework in the Christmas holidays...
Look at this leap. I don't think anyone could have a leap better...

Scholarship...

Yay, I have some great news...
I got into the highland dance scholarship and it will be very soon. I am in the senior category and if you don't know what the scholarship is I will tell you. The scholarship is if you do grades 2, 3, 4, 5, or elementary then you could be put in however you have to be in their age brackets. Then you go to compete for money that would go towards your dancing fees and you compete in 3 thing a theory written test, choreography and a lesson. Last year I won the written paper and someone else from my dance school got 6th place overall. Cannot wait and good luck to everyone that is going. I am revising right now...

Congratulations to the 2012-2013 Champion of Champions Winners which were Abbie MacNeil who is the first ever person to win two awards which were the Juvenile and Senior awards and also Rebecca Thow who was the adult winner.
